In 2005 Scott Brokaw started Competitive Edge with Andy Blaylock. At the time, their main focus was on the business side of treadmill off ice training. Scott threw himself into learning and teaching skills and how to be effective within the parameters of a hockey game. Scott has kept an open mind and continues to develop and evolve with the game. A couple years later, Scott started coaching and was lucky enough to coach many kids from all over the U.S. and Canada. He was learning more and more about the game and skills required to help players reach their full potential as a player. Scott’s career has allowed him to grow through the game with hockey coaching kids from the young age of 7,8,9 to present day where many have gone on to play Collegiately and or professionally. Through his experience coaching, training, and self-development work Scott has developed a functional/effective player development program that is customized and tailored to each individual’s needs to become the most effective player they can be. Scott believes the foundation of being an effective leader and teacher is having a high level of passion and investment in players, the ability to communicate and resonate with the individual's learning style and personality.
